Mill Farm first opened up its doors over 15 years ago when farming was starting to get near impossible to make a living from, so Des decide to diversify the farm ands open up a CL site. After realising what a beautiful and perfect location we live in and seeing how well the CL site was doing Des decided that after having a lot of empty stables and a unused large field he come up with the idea to have more horses on the farm! After building all the paddocks by hand and renovating the stables by hand we opened up the farm to holiday liveries. Safe to say we haven't looked back.
Des started working on a farm at the age of 18 when he left Agricultural college to come and work on his fathers farm. He's worked on these lands now for over 50 years and has completed over 50 harvests.
Between the busy long hours of farming he's had a large family of 4 daughters , Zoe Christie Tiffany and Isabella.
Tiffany works with Des and is hoping to take over the business when Des wants to retire.
In between working for the farm and other part time jobs she has her own horses she likes to compete in local one day events.
Mill Farm has been in our family for generations and we like to show how much the Farm means to us by keeping it up and running.
Our Aim is to provide a relaxed atmosphere that anyone is welcomed in to. We try to keep the rules simple and efficient for everyone to follow the same.
We understand you cant please everyone but we like to think we can at least try!
